With so many people working from home these days, many will relate to this brilliantly written and illustrated picture book:
When a dad steps away from his home office (after posting an “off limits” sign on the door), a little girl can’t resist entering where she is told not to go. There’s no harm in looking, right? But what awaits inside is a treasure trove of tape and paper clips and sticky-notes. Oh, the colorful sticky-notes! This deceptively simple story captures the curiosity, energy, and creativity of a child, using brilliant page turns to build tension that leads to a surprising ending. Helen Yoon’s bright illustrations are expressive and joyful. I just want to read this book over and over—to myself or anyone who will listen (makes a great read-aloud to a group too). Brilliant!
