…for those in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway. If you live in an area that gets snow or will get snow, or if you have every experienced snow or read about or seen snow, or if you like snow or only like to view snow from a distance, (who am I kidding? If you are anyone!), then you just might appreciate this adorable book:
A squirrel and a chipmunk find a snowman in the woods and wonder what the strange objects stuck in the pile of snow could be. They disassemble the snowman, piece by piece, trying out each object (the hat could be a tall rowboat! The buttons, small shields!) and then figure out how all the pieces work together. Readers will enjoy how the woodland creatures re-imagine how the snowman props could be used for their purpose and will delight in the surprise ending (that will inspire even more imagination). This book has a snowman, squirrel, rabbit, chipmunk, bird, owl, mole, party, and illustrated endpapers, all adorably drawn by Dana Wulfekotte. Kevin Tseng’s spare text tell a story that is both clever and sweet and that inspires creativity and imagination. A really cute read!

Yes, there is even a holiday for which to celebrate a bathtub party. What better way to commemorate the occasion than reading a board book?
This cute board book reads like an instruction manual for how to give your lion a bath. A lion is just a big cat, right? So, anyone familiar with cats can relate to the lengths one must go to to give a lion a bath. If you’re not familiar, note that cats usually do not like water! After a child tries bribes, toys, and even scare-tactics you can imagine the hilariousness that ensues. For kids who either love or hate bath time, this is the book for you!
