I read somewhere that 75% of Americans are afraid to visit the dentist. But dentists do take care of our teeth, so how about we show those dentists some love on their very own national holiday? I’ve got just the picture book to help you celebrate:
Many people are afraid to go to the dentist, but what if the dentist is just as afraid of his patient as the patient is of the dentist? This book tells that very tale. Using only dialogue and illustrations, Taro Gomi, shows two sides of a story about a crocodile’s annual dentist appointment. The bright illustrations and humorous facial expressions evoke a light-hearted approach to telling a story about facing and overcoming a common fear from two different points of view.
