I don’t need any excuse to eat chocolate, but I’m happy to eat a piece of chocolate cake to celebrate today. I was also happy to read a book about two of my favorite things—bunnies and chocolate! Here’s my review:
Michael B. Kaplan’s opening text tells the reader what you’re in for. Betty Bunny is going to be a handful. So, it’s no surprise that she puts up a fuss when she’s asked to try something new. But when she finally tries chocolate cake, she loves it so much she decides she’s going to marry it. So much she can’t stop thinking about it. So much she wants to eat it again and again, even when her mom tells her she has to wait. Uh oh. This fun book is full of humorous text, expressive bunnies, a lesson on patience, and chocolate cake, of course!
