Well, that sounds appropriate for this time of year (though, I thought March was supposed to be the windy month). In any case, I think Big Wind Day is just the right day to talk about a particular picture book:
The other clouds make shade and rain and snow. They have a very important purpose, and it’s always been that way. But try as she might, all Lola can make is shapes. Is she the worst cloud ever? Poor Lola! You’ll have to read the book to find out if Lola can prove her skills have value too. And be sure to peek at the last page to learn more about clouds. Wendy Greenley’s lovely text and Paolo Domeniconi’s beautiful illustrations are the perfect match in this book that encourages creativity and staying true to yourself.
