Fun fact about my youngest child: he is the king of finding four (and even five) leaf clovers. Lucky kid! In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day this year, I bring to you a review of a picture book a wild boar named Roy, who LOVES clover:
Roy can hardly wait to eat his patch of clover. The problem is, while he’s waiting for it to bloom, his patch seems to get smaller and smaller. And it always seems to happen when he’s reading a book supplied by his neighbor, Jarvis. Hmmm… Roy needs to stop the clover thief before his patch completely disappears! This clever and hilarious tale is full of expressive characters, irresistible page turns, illustrated end papers, a wild boar, a gopher, books, and a twist ending you won’t see coming! I think you’ll love Elise Parsley’s HOW TO CATCH A CLOVER THIEF.
