According to the online dictionary, reconciliation means: the restoration of friendly relations; the action of making one view or belief compatible with another. Well, I think restoring friendly relations sounds like a pretty nice idea to me and, so, a pretty nice day to honor. How about reading a book about a couple of giraffes rivals who just might reconcile by the end of the story.
And that’s when everything changes for Leopold, for he meets his match: a gleaming, bobbing, grinning, giraffe balloon! How can he compete? They can both be cheerful and bouncy, but the balloon smells fresh and doesn’t need to be fed. What’s a giraffe, once the star of the zoo, to do? You’ll have to read this hilarious book to find out! Elise Parsley’s text and illustrations had me giggling at every page turn. Just the characters’ expressions alone had me in stitches. If you want to tickle your funny bone, I recommend you read this book!
