Today we commemorate the victims of the Holocaust, and I can’t think of a better book to read:
This picture book is a stunning tribute to the life and legacy of Yaffa Eliach, a Jewish survivor of the Holocaust and creator of the “Tower of Life” exhibit in Washington D.C.’s Holocaust Memorial Museum. While the story addresses the horrors of this dark period in history, it does so in a child-appropriate and accessible way. This story is moving, powerful, and beautifully illustrated—a must for every bookshelf.
